Anmatjere, to the North of Alice Springs NT, is just before the hills start to rise. Long distances of flat, scrubby land were framed by the sort of stunning cloud formations that come when weather travels long distances unimpeded. The clouds don’t stop to let fall, leaving the land dry and arid for months yet.
